Hammers record woodwork stat

|

West Ham have hit the woodwork ten times this season in the Premier League more than any other top-flight club.

Leeds United, West Brom and Wolves come second in the Premier League official statistic each having hit the work wood seven times each.

Pablo Fornals has hit the woodwork a total of three times, Declan Rice twice, Angelo Ogbonna and Seb Haller, Aaron Cresswell and Fabian Balbuena one apiece.

While West Ham currently sits in fifth place in the Premier League at time of writing they could regret missed chances earlier in the season when the campaign comes to an end and the European places are dished out.

When you also factor in the decisions that have gone against the Hammers through VAR David Moyes could feel aggrieved what could have been.

There is an old saying that these things even themselves out over a season but it doesn’t feel like that!
