Hammers return to the top of the table

|

The Hammers have returned to the top of the Premier League injury table with nine players currently out.

Marko Arnautovic has an illness which kept him out of yesterday’s game in Manchester, however, it is hoped he will recover by Saturday.

Arthur Masuaku has suffered an unspecified knock while debutant Ben Johnson has a small calf injury.

More worrying is the news that Aaron Creswell has suffered from a broken toe again with an unknown return date.

Fabian Balbuena has been out of action since December and required an operation but it is hoped he could return this Saturday with Pellegrini short on defensive choices.

Winston Reid returned to full training this week, while Physio room schedules him for a  30th March return his return to full match fitness is likely to take much longer.

Jack Wilshere (ankle), Yarmolenko and Carlos Sanchez remain long term injuries unlikely to return this season.
