Hammers rubbish £20m striker speculation

bonySpeculation that  Manchester City have made the Irons a £20 million ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Wilfried Bony are entirely incorrect.

Blue Moon – the leading City website had one of their ITK’s claim: “City have offered West Ham Bony for £20m take it or leave it….give or take some last minute bluffing.”

But in fact the ‘report’ is miles from the truth and as ClaretandHugh declared last week, any deal for the player will only be until the next transfer window when he  will move on to China.

Our source said: “The situation is crystal clear. We need a player to cover injuries to our front men and we have inquired about Bony on loan until January.

We couldn’t do anything else if we wanted to because our understanding is that a deal is in place for the player to move on to China.

We will be pursuing the deal with City this week and hope we can come to an agreement but these things aren’t easy.”

  1. Not so sure we really need any more loan players . If we do acquire another player it should be a quality player on a contract . With a fit squad we have enough I reckon . During the season other clubs will have injury issues as well , so I don’t actually see the need . Payet and Lanzini are reportedly looking good for a return and some others are just a month away.
And Sahko , if he sorts himself out is another one .
Byram , Antonio and Noble were great this weekend , and despite Antonio scoring and getting MOM award , I would have given it to Noble .
Anyway , looking forward to Thursday . With our first ( triumphant ) game at the LS under our belt some confidence should be running through the team and the fans .

  2. With Carroll down Kevin it will be a blessing to get bony in until Jan ! Its logical surely ?
Agree with everything else , noble had a better game than he has been playing , but the bard gets mom for me ?

  3. Get him on board now worry about the transfer window in January
The player will decide where he wants to go and City won’t care as long as they get there money,
Better to have cover Kevin then not,
We have the most injury prone club and players in the world,

    • At last world conquering again , just like 66 ?? Hahaha,
Jan AAT would be a good addition to ,
See this effin auto correct has its own mind !.lol.
      Janmaat’,ish .
Any annoraks reading , please put it right ?

  4. What worried me yesterday was Slavs decision to play Antonio down the left and Tore down the right. When he changed it in the second half, both players looked more comfortable and they combined for the goal. As for Boney, I really don’t know. He has had litt match time and will probably need to be eased in whereas we need someone now firing on all cylinders. In saying that I was very impressed with Calleri even though he missed a sitter at the end. But please Slav, no more Valencia!

  5. Lemon Kenny his name is now lemon ? Lol.
And yes Slav actually played them in their preferred position ,
But to be fair the injury’s are playing his hands at present !
It will only get better , a win is a win , we ground it out , just like last year .!!

  6. I would be fine with bringing in Bony, actually I would be fine with Bony,Remy,Christopher Biggins,Katie Price or Lassie if it ment no more Valencia 🙂

    • That’s all well and good rads ? But if you play Katie you have to play 2 up top !lol.
You have to juggle them sometimes into the right positions ??

      • Haha,he ain’t allowed to juggle anything like that now he has got a missus with a bun in the oven I expect johnboy. He will have to get used to being banned from any juggling haha 😀

        • No 45 ? But the longer she goes she will be joining Katie up front ?? Hahaha
Happy juggling rads ? ( little devil )

  7. Higgins would probably get more goals Rad,
Seems where we sit or stand is more important on most sites
Don’t think Biggins will fit inmost of the seats,
Think we might change that from Lemon to Biggins johnboy

  8. Lassie would have better ball control I know that.Yep bubs the sitting/standing debate rolls on.Meanwhile on the pitch the China dolls knee has fallen off & we need a solution.

  9. The problem is Lassie is dead and even though Biggins sometimes looks dead he is not,
No debate for me I always sit and watch in the bar but must admit I miss the old days when I go to live football,
Yes the atmosphere in the ground is better then watching it on TV but standing with your mates having the crack was something you can’t explain to those that never had that buzz

  10. If you ever come back to the Queenie it will shock you ??
Memories at the old girl are for you and me ? Its in the blood !
This is totally different ! Its just new , not me at all !,if I’m truth full I feel lost , but onward and upwards !!
