Speculation that Manchester City have made the Irons a £20 million ‘take it or leave it’ offer for Wilfried Bony are entirely incorrect.
Blue Moon – the leading City website had one of their ITK’s claim: “City have offered West Ham Bony for £20m take it or leave it….give or take some last minute bluffing.”
But in fact the ‘report’ is miles from the truth and as ClaretandHugh declared last week, any deal for the player will only be until the next transfer window when he will move on to China.
Our source said: “The situation is crystal clear. We need a player to cover injuries to our front men and we have inquired about Bony on loan until January.
“We couldn’t do anything else if we wanted to because our understanding is that a deal is in place for the player to move on to China.
We will be pursuing the deal with City this week and hope we can come to an agreement but these things aren’t easy.”
Not so sure we really need any more loan players . If we do acquire another player it should be a quality player on a contract . With a fit squad we have enough I reckon . During the season other clubs will have injury issues as well , so I don’t actually see the need . Payet and Lanzini are reportedly looking good for a return and some others are just a month away.
And Sahko , if he sorts himself out is another one .
Byram , Antonio and Noble were great this weekend , and despite Antonio scoring and getting MOM award , I would have given it to Noble .
Anyway , looking forward to Thursday . With our first ( triumphant ) game at the LS under our belt some confidence should be running through the team and the fans .

What worried me yesterday was Slavs decision to play Antonio down the left and Tore down the right. When he changed it in the second half, both players looked more comfortable and they combined for the goal. As for Boney, I really don’t know. He has had litt match time and will probably need to be eased in whereas we need someone now firing on all cylinders. In saying that I was very impressed with Calleri even though he missed a sitter at the end. But please Slav, no more Valencia!
