Hammers slip to 12th place

The Hammers slipped to 12th place from eleventh this evening as Chelsea went a point ahead of them via the most bizarre of games at Spurs.

Mauricio Pochetinno returned to the club he managed for the first time since leaving  and saw his men come from one nil down to beat the north London outfit enemy 2-1. Spurs saw Romero sent off  for a wicked challenge before also losing Udogie to a second yellow card.

Pressure on as Hammers slip to 12th place

The Blues had equalised the early Spurs goal via a Palmer penalty following Romero’s foul and sending off,  before Chelsea’s Jackson collected a hat-trick with goals in the 75th and  94th and 97th minutes of injury time. It was bad  news for the Hammers who saw Chelsea go a point above them with a superior goal difference.

And it puts real pressure on David Moyes‘ men with Nottingham Forest arriving at the London Stadium on Sunday.
