Hammers sorting out summer deals

|

CollinsWest Ham are unlikely to let any first team fringe players leave the club over the summer although – as reported – Sofiane Feghouli would be allowed to move on were the club to receive a good offer for the winger.

Gokhan Tore will not be returning from Turkey and Jonathon Calleri’s loan period will also be allowed to elapse unless he makes a massive impact in the last part of the season.

There has also been speculation that Havard Notveidt hasn’t done enough to retain a serious role at the club but manager Slaven Bilic is happy with the player and he will be retained.

Goalkeeper Adrian will enter talks on a new deal with the club and the club have a decision to make on James Collins who is now way down the pecking order at central defence.

A new deal looks unlikely and the club won’t stand in the way of him getting a decent late move should a club come in for him.

A ClaretandHugh source said: ” He has been a magnificent servant to this club but with three front line central defenders and Reece Oxford and Reece Burke on their way through we are well served in that area.”

Torre , Calleri and the Scandy are not good enough so good bye . Adrian good back up so depends on who is first choice next season . Not so sure about Collins . The manager has shown no wish to blood Oxford or Burke and will no throw them in the deep end . Happy with another year .
We desperately need a right back and a holding midfield player to replace Capt Terrible . If we get the right back we could pair Obiang and Kouyate together in centre of park .. that would look solid.
Get us a proven goal scorer to challenge Carrol and Sakho with Martinez as back up and we would have a squad to take us forward . COYI

Bubbles your constant negative comments towards our legend club captain are really starting to get on my nerves. Every article you seem to write something about Noble. He’s having an average season yes, but terrible? Do me a favor.
Are you going to keep repeating yourself until we all bow to your superior footballing brain?
Please refrain in future for my sanity.

    Cheers,

Bubbles you are the anti-christ to all the Noblistas who copy and paste every tiny snippet about him while having a moment in their trousers.I find Katherine Jenkins has that effect on this old codger not Noble lol

Nordveidt is a good utility player I think he has a lot of potential also, he tries to make forward passes for a start which is a step up from Bubbles favourite 😉 I definitely wouldn’t gt rid of him, if Sunderland go down which is likely we should bid whatever it takes to get Pickford from them, Joe Hart is unlikely to come but Pickford according to Jermain Defoe is the best keeper he has played alongside (that sounds dodgy I know … ) while we are at it why not sign Defoe also. Overall the squad doesn’t need that much just the usual,a high quality keeper, a top quality right back, a left winger to replace Payet and a top goal scorer, if a Kante type defensive midfielder is available get one of those also.

Has anyone seen the highlights from the PL2 match against Fulham ? On that performance did anyone think the kid Holland looked like he had a bit of the Ravel Morrison about him, effortlessly gliding past his opponents and shooting at will ?

When we are safe and know our position would be nice to see some of the best kids given 10 or 15 minutes in games wouldn’t it ?

Nordtveit is a good utility player indeed. Had some very good years in Bundesliga before we bought him. The main issue is he has been played as a RB (who hasnt hehe), which is not his strong point – although he has played a bit there throughout his career.

He does not possess the speed and agility to keep up with PL wingbacks or wingers as we have seen several times.

Nordtveit should be played between midfield and defence central in the field, similar to where Song was playing. Being Norwegian I assume that I have seen more of him than average West Ham fans (no offense)…. might be a bit overpaid though, will admit that 🙂

I wont be bothered if Collins goes.He has been a good servant but is nearing the end now.I wouldnt be surprised if he wants to leave in the summer for one final chance of regular first team football.Him hanging around will surely give Oxford and Burke even less chances to play so thanks but cya Ginge.

  • Stan The Man says:

Well Reece Burke will be 21 in September so you have to think he will either be involved more or if not he will possibly not have a future with us.Collins leaving will not be that much of a big a deal and you dont keep players for sentimental reasons, that’s ludicrous.

    • Roman says:

Stan you hit the nail on the head, regarding keeping players for sentimental reasons. Isn’t that the case with our captain? I’m not saying get rid but to be a starter each week is also ludicrous.

A whole lot of Big talk going on from Dubai . Revenge and stuff like that .
We can only hope they bring back some of that Sunshine with them to brighten up our season . It’s time to get more serious if we want to make our new home a Real Home .
Summer signings are being bantered about everyday and it’s getting rather boring .
We are forever being hammered with speculation about this player or that player .
If we can get that last Europa League spot it would be miraculous to say the least but , then again knowing West Ham we would throw it away with weakened teams and poor performances when the Chips are down . Bubbles and dreams being burst continuously .
The last crop of transfers were to say the least abysmal apart from Lanzini who is getting better everyday but , there is also speculation that he wants to go home … seems he caught the Payet syndrome .
FFS West Ham , get it sorted . Get that young talent of ours up and running .
We talk too much and let people know too much about our ambitions . Time to calm it down a little and leave other teams guessing .
Feeling really frustrated with our whole way of dealing with our ambition .
13 games to go and we look good for survival ., maybe with a few right results we can even make a more or less memorable season in our new home . We all hope so .

I knew if i read your post i would end up feeling depressed Kevin. You rarely disappoint lmao

Disappointing article about who might leave – mostly ifs and buts.
Fans are far more interested in the team going forward.
I’d rather discuss why Oxford has been fringe after such a great game v Arsenal on 9th August, 2015 (Yes, it’s that long ago). So much hype about the next Rio etc, yet how many 1st team minutes has he had since having Ozil “in his pocket”?

  • Hammer64 says:

The problem always is taking risks when you are looking over your shoulder. The youngsters have to get playing time, but loans are often the only way. If they can’t break through in the lower leagues then not much hope in the PL.
