Hammers still in the race for striker

|

By Hughie Southon

West Ham consider themselves still in the race for Chelsea’ Armando Broja,

Recent reports have suggested that Newcastle are edging ahead of us but David Moyes remains on the case as he attempts to find a striker to challenge Mikey Antonio .

There had been rumours too that the Hammers boss had cooled on the 21 year old but the reality is that there is still keen interest.

There is no certainty at this stage that a bid has been launched at around the £30 million mark but we have been told there have certainly been talks between the two London clubs.

Newcastle remain interested but the Hammers hold a small ace in that the player would prefer to remain in London.

Meanwhile the Jesse Lingard saga drags on although there is a general feeling through the club that if the signing was going to be made it would have done some time back.

Hugh do you know if we’re doing anything regarding Brereton Díaz? This one will go to the wire with no guarantees. Don’t think I’m heart can take it.

So we’re still in for Borja , that’s the good thing . However where is our ambition! We hear that we might sell Soucek , how stupid is that , we hear the board bid for Dabjuma not Moyes . Leave it to Moyes and back him in who he wants . He knows where he wants to improve the squad . We need quality at Striket , left back , attacking mid , left wing . That’s a minimum as we also need back up options for squad depth if we are going to improve . Where are the board if they are trying to buy players Moyes don’t want . It’s all non coherent & where are the funds from the board . I don’t want us to be in a position where we have not got our main targets sorted yet again . I Moyes needs to stop dithering as well and just go for who he wants . Let’s show Dec our ambition go for it a have a team that challenges to get Champuons league we have an opportunity now in this window !

    • Listen the board bids for the players Moyes tell them he wants, Let’s put an end to this utter crap. It’s why we aren’t buying – he can’y make up his mind

Same here Paul, I’d prefer Dennis tbh, Sam age play up top or left adds need pace & £20-25m for him isn’t bad. On Less the £40k too I believe, Moyes says wants hungry pace & youth. He has it & I bet he is chomping at the bit to stay in PL in a better team to prove he will only get better. Plus in London too. Really he would of been one of the first ones I got & even if we still get Borja great. Then we have an out & out CF though played in two as well who is big presence & versatile forward who can play in two as well left wing up top probably suit a 10 too.

Agree with you about Dennis and Sarr
