Olivier Giroud’s agent has revealed the player could be on his way from Arsenal this winter.
And with Diafra Sakho closing in on a Palace move, speculation is again on the rise the Frenchman could be on his way to the Hammers.
It remains an unlikely scenario, however, as Giroud ruled us out in the summer when Everton were also keen and his agent Michael Manuello insists he will only move on for “something more.”
With the Irons currently involved in a battle at the bottom that doesn’t look like the “more” Manuello is talking about.
Giroud is looking for a quick change of club if he’s to advance his World Cup claims and thus the Hammers and Palace links continue.
In the meantime his agent said: “He listens, looks and after he will see. Leaving to leave has no use. It has to be coherent and gives him something more.
‘He will have playing time at Arsenal, the second part of the season is important, with competitions to play, even if he is only the Europa League.
‘The clubs in Turkey? That does not interest him. China either. Leaving to earn more money is not what’s important in his state of mind.’
Giroud has been sidelined in recent weeks with a hamstring injury and is set to miss Wednesday’s EFL Cup semi-final clash with Chelsea.
