Hammers update Bowen/Liverpool report

|

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made no inquiry for West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.

The Anfield chief has been heavily linked with the £23 million Hammers  signing over the past few days but club insiders have confirmed to ClaretandHugh tonight that there has been no discussion with the Anfield club.

Jarrod arrived in the winter of 2020 and was a deadline day signing before going on to impress over 14 appearances in his first spell at the club and over 40 appearances for eight goals last term.

The club would want a minimum of £35 million for the 24 year old whom Klopp has been linked with fancying quite strongly.

Howeve4, there has been no contact at this stage and the Hammers can hardly afford to be in a sellers’ market with no new signings on board and a Euro league season ahead of them.

A source at the club revealed there has been no inquiry, no bid and at this stage no interest demonstrated by the merseysiders.

    A Sellers Market???
I think we can see across Europe, money (Cash) is in limited supply and plenty of quality players available.
IMHO if the Scally’s want to give £35mil. for Bowen, take it and invest in a striker, a proper goal scoring striker and let the likes of Benny, Lanzini, Fornals (Maybe Yarmalenko or Antonio) and some of the youngsters get on with it….

Who? Bowen is not for sale if we are serious about building a team that is better than the sum of the individuals. We must keep hold of our best and build around them.

I know that this may be only a rumour but coupled with a lack of transfer activity with only three weeks remaining until this transfer window closes. Bowen being integral to the team, the way we play and part of the blueprint going forward…. we look like a club trying to fight off this speculation with a feather duster.
Couldn’t someone (even the tea lady) make a strenuous denial that it would take an eye-watering amount of money to part with a player who is integral to this club moving forward?

It closes in 5 weeks not 3.

Don’t sell for less than 40million. Will be difficult to replace.

  • Billy says:

Just another boring non event story, no doubt I will be slated, get and sign someone

It’s all conjecture, it’s all nonsense, it’s called ‘Click bate’

Every media outlet is the same. Anyone who takes any of these ‘stories’ seriously in this day and age should be waiting for the men in white coats to turn up.

The World has changed; there are no journalists in the know anymore, the ‘rumours’ are just to make you read the stories for page hits. When we sign someone we’ve signed someone, when we sell someone they’ve gone. Until any of that happens, continue with whatever you’re doing every day and don’t waste your time believing the nonsense (but do read this website, just to stay informed)
