Hammers update Coufal injury

|

CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon

Vladi Coufal has been bang at the centre of a major injury worry over the last few days.

The right back has developed a heel injury described as plantar fasciitis and which injury pundit Ben Dinnery could take up to several months to heal.

It’s a big blow to the Hammers, coming at a time when the right back was looking in fine form after various injury difficulties – notably last season.

But club insiders have revealed to Claret and Hugh that they are hopeful the player will be back in action long before that.

We were told by a London Stadium source that it was even hoped the Czech defender would be back in action soon after the international break.

He said  speaking exclusively to us this afternoon: “It’s not a precise injury, its one that needs time and Vladimir will hopefully be back in the matchday squad after international break.”
