How we rated the Irons at Villa

|

Claret and Hugh Associate editor Sean Whetstone gives out the ratings today: for Aston Villa v West Ham

Lukasz Fabianski –  Usual Fab – solid game in between the sticks. 6

Ben Johnson –  Amazing start from the youngster with a goal on his weaker left foot. 9

Kurt Zouma – Great partnership with Ogbonna and a tower of strength. 7

Angelo Ogbonna – Great game if you ignore that dreadful backpass and could have done better with Villa goal. 6

Aaron Cresswell – Got forward well and another good game for Cressy 7

Declan Rice – My man of the math, one goal and one assist and was everywhere  10

Tomas Soucek – Towering in the air and so important for the defence of set pieces but misses chances upfront 6

Pablo Fornals  A mixed game for Spanaird both good and bad but got a late goal as his reward. 7

Said Benrahma Like Fornals a mixed game of good and not so good but got an assist but was subbed off. 6

Jarrod Bowen off  Looked great going forward and scored a goal  8

Michail Antonio – Marked off of the game but had his normal physical battles with defenders Quiet game for him with no goals. 7

Substitutes

Manuel Lanzini Was unselfish when setting up Bowen but looked good and has regained form 7

Vladimir Coufal  – No rating

Nikola Vlasic  – No rating
