Huge Areola hint as Fulham make decision

|

Fulham are set to pursue a deal to sign Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha this summer as they have admitted pursuit in their bid to bring Alphonse Areola back to the club, per 90min.

The Championship club are preparing for life back in the Premier League after winning the second-tier once again.

Areola spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Fulham and the club were said to be making an attempt to convince him to return this summer.

However, the Hammers have the option to buy him permanently and Fulham’s desire to turn to Strakosha seems to indicate that they expect the Frenchman to stay put in east London.

The Irons also hold the option to bring him in on loan once more, although a permanent deal appears more likely in this window.

Strakosha is an experienced international an is set to leave Lazio for nothing, with a deal deemed relatively simple to complete.
