Hugely concerning Bowen update

|

David Moyes admits he doesn’t know if Jarrod Bowen will be back after the international break.

The Hammers lost a huge London derby with Spurs on Sunday, losing 3-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The result means that the Irons are now six points behind fourth-place Arsenal, who have two games in hand on Moyes’ men.

It was a hugely disappointing performance too, with Son Heung-Min scoring twice and Kurt Zouma managing to score an own goal.

Said Benrahma did score for the Hammers and Moyes, speaking after the game, has claimed that he genuinely isn’t sure if Bowen will return after the international break.

West Ham are not back in action until April 3rd, against Everton, and there were hopes that Bowen would return for that game, but Moyes admits he just isn’t sure.

The ex-Hull star hasn’t been in action since the clash with Liverpool, missing the encounters with Aston Villa and Spurs in the league, and both legs of the Europa League tie against Sevilla.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Moyes was asked about Bowen and Vlad Coufal and said, per Football.London: “I hope so, but I cannot guarantee it at the moment. I think Vladimir is a little further down the line because we know what he had, an operation on his hernia and he is doing quite well. Jarrod I cannot be sure on.”

Moyes abject failure to supplement the squad or replace a departing striker and aging skipper are now coming home to roost . He has run his preferred 11 into the dirt and inevitably injuries happen and levels drop . Not one of the youngsters has had a run in the team to see what they are able to do . If we have nothing better than Vlasic, Masuakau or Noble to bring on it is a sad inditement of the system or could it be that the ” manager ” does not have the courage to give it a go . Our season in the league is over so why not try a few changes and try and freshen up the 12 disciples . Gross incompetence from Mr.Moyes I am afraid . .COYI

“Our season in the league is over”,… How so? We’re well in contention for a top 6 finish and European qualification again. Last week you said we’d be out of Europe after Thursday. That didn’t age well. You only ever post on here to have a moan. It becomes very tiresome after a while.
