robert_snodgrass_21-07-2014_1Bitter Hull City boss Marco Silva has rapped Robert Snodgrass for walking out on Hull.

And he revealed the Scotland winger told him when he first walked in as manager three weeks ago that he wanted out of the Tigers.

The Portuguese, appointed on January 5 said:  “Since the first day I was here he said that he didn’t want to play with Hull City and that he wanted to leave.

“I talked with him and tried my best to get him to remain with us, but he didn’t want to change his mind.

“Until now he has been a really important player for us, but he hasn’t trained for twelve days and hasn’t played the last two games.

“I know our fans are unhappy with Robert going, and I am unhappy also. Everybody at the club is unhappy and, as head coach, I don’t want my most important players to leave.

“I believe it was important for him to stay in Hull because this club has given good things for him. I made my fight to keep this player because I know how much he gives to the team.”
