Irons confirm PL free TV footie from November 21

|

West Ham have welcomed the Premier League’s position on TV broadcasting from now until the new year by reproducing the Premier League statement on their official site at www.whufc.com.

Whatever we may have felt or feel about the Premier League, it is really is great news that those with a Sky or BT package will be able to watch games from November 21 into the new year.

Amazon too will be showing games with others  on free to air at the BBC but most of us, despite that will be hoping and praying that the arrival of a vaccine will ensure that before long we will be back inside the London Stadium.

Live TV football for free is all well and good but it can never compare to the real thing and as we put, HOPEFULLY, the horrors of 2020 behind us that happens and FAST. It’s really the only way to watch!

For those who missed the news earlier here’s the news in full as given on the official site.

The Premier League today announces that all fixtures from Saturday 21 November, and throughout the Christmas and New Year period, will be made available to fans to watch live in the UK.

Working with our broadcast partners, and with the support of clubs, all matches will be shown via existing Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon and BBC services. Details of the first additional selections covering the period until the end of November are announced today. December and January selections will follow in due course alongside our usual UK live matches.

There is a full schedule of Premier League games over the festive period and clubs are committed to an accessible solution for fans. These plans have been made with the cooperation of our broadcast partners, working with us to deliver these additional matches while stadiums are missing the supporters who are such an integral part of the game.

The agreement will be reviewed in the new year following consultation with clubs, broadcast partners and in line with any decisions made by Government regarding the return of spectators to stadiums.

The Premier League and our clubs remain committed to the safe return of fans as soon as possible.
