Irons cool on former Newcastle winger

|

West Ham are planning no  moves in the direction of former Newcastle winger Ben Arfa.

L’Equipe claim that the 31 year old interested the Hammers as a free agent as the 31 year old came out of contract with PSG.

The player had a mixed spell  at Parc des Princes making 32 appearances in all competitions during his first year with PSG, but then did not appear once during his second campaign.

The player is now reported by the French daily to be in talks with Rennes who are currently doing all they can to try and convince Ben Arfa to join them.

The Hammers did hold an interest in the player but a move for him at  this stage of the season would be a surprise because despite the disappointing start to our Premier League campaign the Hammers clearly not short of exciting attacking options.

No thanks, the one player that is currently not signed up that is quality is Nasri. I would have thought someone at this stage would have signed him.
