Toure agent gets cheeky with Hammers

|

Yaya Toure is not on his way to West Ham after reports emerged that he had passed a medical in London last night.

His agent claimed on Twitter last night that he passed a medical as he looks for a new club but both the Hammers and Palace immediately ruled themselves out.

Toure, 35, was released by City in the summer after eight seasons, three Premier League titles and four domestic cups.

There is no indication as to whether the midfielder was conducting a medical with a London-based club, or used the capital as a convenient location to carry out the tests for a foreign side.

Agent Dimitry Seluk – in a series of oddly worded tweets – said that he had passed a medical in London and that he was close to signing for a new club.

He added: “It’s not West Ham – 100 per cent – Yaya is a champion. The last place is not for him.”

Cheeky and unnecessary of course but that’s football for you and a Hammers insider told us: “He’s correct – there’s no interest at this end either!”
