West Ham are tonight being linked with a move for Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia
The 27 year old defender only recently signed a contract extension but is being named as a candidate for a clear out as the club looks to raise funds for new squad additions.
Tuttomercatoweb claim the Hammers and Crystal Palace have both shown interest in signing the 27-year-old Italian.
And in a [piece of speculation which looks somewhat bizarre given that a striker is the main requirement claim that he could become part of an all central defensive pairing by moving for the Inter captain.
However, a Hammers source told ClaretandHugh: “That looks an inspired piece of creative writing – we are now sorted at the heart of defence.”
