Irons make Diop decision – report

|

West Ham are willing to sell Issa Diop this summer.

The London Evening Standard reports that there is interest in the centre-back from Serie A side Lazio, as we reported earlier this week.

And the newspaper claims that boss David Moyes is willing to let the Frenchman go should the right bid arrive.

Diop’s contract expires next summer, meaning this could be the last opportunity for the Irons to receive a decent fee for him.

The former France U21 international has fallen down the pecking order at the London Stadium and has only received the minutes he has because of injuries to both Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma.

However, those two, and Craig Dawson, are both ahead of him in the pecking order.

The Irons are aiming to bolster their transfer kitty with sales this summer but there is a desire at the club to back Moyes and give him the targets he craves.
