Irons pay ceiling up nearly £10m

|

FFP

By Sean Whetstone

West Ham United’s Financial Fair Play ceiling has risen dramatically from £52 million to £61.2 million!

Figures from West Ham accounts released earlier this year show commercial revenue grew From £7.9m to £13.9m and retail sales from £4.8m to £6m.

And that gives the club another £7.2m to spend this season under Financial Fair Play rules – good news indeed!

So maybe the chairmen did over play the FFP card too much in the media last summer.

The financial accounts released earlier this year include figures up to 31st May 2013 so they should of known about the improved commercial and retail sales at the time of the claims of FFP restrictions.
