Irons react to Obiang transfer talk

Obiang

Exclusive

West Ham have made it clear this morning that Pedro Obiang is their player for the next three years and that it may be as well for agents to understand that.

The Italian was at the centre of reports this morning that he could be up for a transfer if a club came in for him and the clubs are not in a position to discuss what may or may not be going on among his advisers.

We reported earlier that the midfielder’s agent, Jose Miguel Gonzalez, has told CalcioMercato that Obiang would consider leaving if a team made a proposal for him.

But ClaretandHugh’s top source immediately told us exclusively: “In reality 99% of players at all clubs would consider/like to move if they were offered say twice the money they are on.

However, if they are contracted to a club they can’t and Pedro is contracted to West Ham for another three years.

Every window there are players who think we should let them leave for nothing or a low fee if they are aware of other clubs ready to offer them more.”

Pedro is just making himself a permanent fixture in the first team, why would he want to leave now???? This is just his agent talking I am sure. With the way Pedro has been playing recently and with Kayoute and Noble also in the squad I cannot see us signing Song after this years loan spell. We also have Poyet and Oxford as a young pairing waiting to come up. Central Defensive midfielders we do not need more of. Sorry Song!

******** agent trying to unsettle player or a ploy to get an improved contract c$$h. If he went anywhere else ie a ‘big’ club, he would spend 75% of the season warming the bench. He is part of a squad that is playing as good as any team in the premier league at the moment, 5th in the league & unbeaten in nine.
Agents should be fined if they are found to be trying to unsettle their players. Go back to respecting the contract the player has signed.

Hasn’t really answered the question ?
Has the player requested an interest ? Also what other players have requested a move for more money ! 99% ? Let’s face it contracts are made to be broken , if a player wants to leave they generally do ! Who wants to keep a player that wants out !! WBA not included !
I would hope there is no truth in this as obiang looks to be coming on in leaps and bounds!
Personally I prefer obiang to noble , in his all round performance IMO of course!
