Irons scout Turk

|

mert-gunokWest Ham United  are this afternoon being linked with Fenerbache goalkeeper Mert Günok.

If Turkish newspaper Fanatik is to be believed, the Irons have been tracking the stopper on several occasions this season.

A Hammers source told ClaretandHugh: “We are tracking up to 50 players at any one time. It’s too early to talk in terms of contracts.

However, the report goes on to say the we are ready to offer the player a deal as we hunt for a replacement No 2 to Jussi Jaaskalainen.

Günok is free to enter direct talks with other clubs due to his contract set to run out at the end of the season.

The Turkish international is currently second choice keeper at the Turkish club behind international Volkan Demirel.

Don’t know about Gunoc, what about Bentley of Southend, much better prospect to my mind and he is English. He has been getting rave revues all season.

Why are we looking at second best again, why are we looking at a Southend player,we needed a second keeper who can put pressure on Adrien or take his place what about
Cech at 10 Mil ( cheap ) and his got another 6 to 8 years in him.
That’s the sort of player we need a winner and if Adrien won’t stay you will get most of your money back,
No problem with Bentley for the future but we can do a deal by swapping some of our players,ie give them O,Brien,Demel and Magia 3 for 1 better than a bog off

Lol sounds visible, Southend would bite our hands off and maybe instead of paying 10 mil for Petr Chech who I’m sure would love to come to us, maybe we should swap Carlton cole for him?! If Chelsea chuck in a couple of
    Mil as a sweetener.
