Jenkinson fingers crossed as Sam weighs options

|

SCarl Jenkinson is fit to face Liverpool tomorrow but his starting position will depend largely on whether the manager believes he’s fit enough.

The right back is ready to leave the decision with the manager but is desperate to make the starting line-up.

Should he not make it Guy Demel is set to continue in his absence as we understand that Joey O’Brien is unavailable for the game.

Sam Allardyce has various options and is musing staying with the same team that played so well at Hull City.

However, should he decide to revert to a one up formation then Morgan  Amalfitano could well be drafted into a five man midfield to include the player’s cretive abilities.

Likely squad: Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Cresswell, Reid, Burke, Tomkins, Collins, Demel, Jenkinson, Noble, Kouyate, Song, Poyet, Morrison, Amalfitano, Downing, Vaz Te, Cole, Zarate, Sakho, Valencia.

Liverpool are likely to welcome back Martin Skrytl at the back but despite positive’ noises earlier in the week it now seems unlikely that Daniel Sturridge will be sufficiently fit for the bench.
