Job “upstairs” for Moyes

West Ham to offer Moyes job “upstairs” report

Hughie Southon looks at a strange “upstairs” job for Moyes story

A story suggesting there’s a job upstairs for David Moyes has emerged tonight  on line at the Daily Mail. It looks like a twist  on the speculation raging over the Scot’s future at West Ham – indeed from all one has heard behind the scenes that is probably the case.

But the Mail is claiming the West Ham board may now be considering offering him a job “upstairs” without explaining what that may be. Indeed, with the tensions that are believed to exist between him and the new technical director Tim Steidten, it seems that would only bring more turbulence to the club.

And in any event it could be a non starter anyway with the Mail adding there is interest elsewhere as Uefa hold an interest in him. Their report claims they could be ready to offer him a technical position after his long experience in the game.

Uefa ready to offer Moyes a job report

Tug of war for Moyes job upstairs

However, we have to say that the idea that Moyes could be at the centre of a tug of war for the Scot seems more than a bit far fetched. The Mail fails to make any sort of decision on what specific jobs may be offered and “upstairs ” can mean anything or nothing.

As we suggested, the idea that it could happen could compound any problems between him and Steidten at the club. As for Uefa, the so called job offer is to vague to consider at this stage.
