Klopp confirms sabattical

|

klopp2JΓΌrgen Klopp has confirmed he’ll take a sabbatical until further notice telling media this morning “I will take a break until further notice, after seven intense and emotional years of ‘Real Love’, I consider it sensible to process all these memories until I’m fresh and full of motivation to take on a new task, together with my team.”

Two days ago we reported that West Ham were refusing to give up on persuading Klopp to join West Ham but now it appears his mind is made up to have a break from football.

With Emery looking doubtful too does that leave us with three choices? Bielsa,de Boer and Bilic, and if Bilic was top of the list wouldn’t we have got him already as he has no job

  • mattefumi el loco says:

lol…I shall leave the final word to Hamburg, sorry mate, Klopp was a good dream, my favourite one… πŸ˜‰

It was never going to happen, that thin line is getting more hairline now and if we don’t get someone quick we’ll be left with Mr ‘I want to win more cups and I think Everton are that team’ Billic

  • Rads says:

No worries,no need to panic.Everything is under control πŸ˜‰

      Hope so Rads!

Well it is only my opinion, not that people shouldnt be concerned. But im pretty philisophical about life. What happens, happens,i cant change it so i aint going to get worried about it.I have a feeling everything will fall into place one way or another.Anyway talking about the same managers over & over again aint going to change naff all.I will leave that to wetpants πŸ˜€

Agreed Rads,it is out of our hands.I certainly aint losing sleep over it.Its an important appointment but so what.Nothing can be as dismal as 4yrs of hippo πŸ˜‰

Fair enough, the man had an intense time at Dortmund, so if he needs time to reflect and recharge his batteries, then so be it. I just think it is a risk for him.
Whenever he decides that he wants to return into managing he will have to look at the vacancies at that point which don’t necessarily will be the ones he’s looking at today.

Of course it may end up being a case of being in the right space at the right time for him, so good luck to him! Time will tell if he’s made the right decision.
Either way I’m still confident we’ll end up with a top class manager at West Ham within the next ten days or so.

I think Klopp is feeling very emotional at this moment having just been thrashed by Wolfsburg. It could be that he has a calm down in a couple of weeks and puts himself back in the mix.

  • Boys of '66 says:

I have heard many managers talk of taking time out of the game or having a sabbatical. Then two weeks later they are unveiled as someones new manager.I take this sabbatical stuff with a pinch of salt πŸ˜‰

  • orbearider66 says:

I have a feeling that Klopp’s “sabattical” will magically come to an end right around the time Brendan Rogers is fired.

  • HamburgHammer says:

That’s still a scenario I can see. We’ve heard rumours about Liverpool and Klopp before.
Funnily enough I think Liverpool and Klopp are a very decent fit.
Make no mistake: We should still be in a good position with West Ham, even if our next manager is not Klopp.

  • canchaz says:

They’re dropping like flies although Klopp was never a realistic possibility in my eyes. Always felt managers like he and Benitez had the smack of whistling in the wind.
Maybe soon now, the real possibilities will start to emerge

Canchaz, our resident ray of sunshine, lol, the king of ‘whistling in the wind’ πŸ˜€
