Upbeat Carroll tweets good news

|

carrollAndy Carroll appears to be very much on the mend and stepping up his training regime.

The striker tweeted an upbeat message giving hope that he could be back in action for the opening Europa Cup matches in July.

He wrote: “Great start to the week with a sunny session at Chadwell Heath.”

He has been out of action since  he underwent a knee operation back in February having suffered medial ligament damage against Southampton.

Should he be fit, the front man is almost certain to play as the Hammers would see the games as a perfect way of getting him up to full fitness.

The club kicks off its campaign on July 2.

Hopefully the ‘lump it to big Andy’ approach is scraped and he plays the ball on the ground, saves his ridiculously feeble ankles/knees/legs in general

Never liked him… As far as I’m concerned he can desappear tomorrow…

  • JIMRSA says:

    Until the next injury . . .

  • Rads says:

Tweet im waiting for from him is the one thay says ‘Back at Newcastle’.He is a bloody liability,we are well rid if someone is stupid enough to pay big bucks for him.Oh wait,i know just the stupid guy we need. When is Hippo moving back into management 😉

  • IronsEssex says:

He’s a waste of money and an injury liability BUT, he scores goals and gives it his all, Enner looks like he’s trying to force a move to Chelsea’s bench for the season. Sakho is another injury prone player, that leaves Maiga.. so really we’re going to need the big prat

  • IronsEssex says:

Feel like crying because I just stated we need big Andy but it’s him or Maiga, I’ll let wet pants do the stats

  • Quickdraw de Boer says:

He does give his all but so would I if I only played a few times a year. There’s only one place he won’t follow the hippo to and that’s the only job he’s being linked with Sunderland

  • Rads says:

Haha, well yeah we need him & dont get me wrong,on his day he is unplayable. But as a club how can we keep paying 80+k a week to a crock, both for financial & footballing reasons. It is a nightmare scenario we are in & for the last two seasons we have found ourselves near as damn it strikerless 😉

  • bubs says:

If we don’t get £10 million for him he won’t be going anywhere, the board keep telling us it’s a business,I still think he can play football if the manager uses him in a different role than BFS did,but it’s weather his body lets him

Every time I hear Carroll’s name mentioned I think of Nolan and Allardyce. Yaaaawn!
