Lanzini deal to be done on injury recovery

West Ham will complete the Manu Lanzini deal once the player has shown himself to be completely recovered from the thigh injury he has suffered with over recent weeks.

The brilliant ball carrying midfielder sustained the injury against Southampton after returning following the same injury against Liverpool but is now within days of a comeback.

Before the Saints game chairman David Sullivan had fired the player up by saying he would be completing his signing from Al Jaziera in February rather than at the end of the season.

However, the injury issue has put that on hold until the club has seen ‘The Jewel’ has made a complete recovery from the problem.

ClaretandHugh was told exclusively this afternoon: “As explained many times our contract with the Saudis is watertight and we intend to do the deal as soon as Manu has returned and proved himself fully recovered from injury.

“That could be later this month but we full intend getting it done as soon as the injury problem is shown to be history.”

    Just get the boy signed,

Hey Bubs, We brought Byram so cannot back out, Lanzini is on loan so could back out if the injury proves to be to bad, I do not feel it is and I imagine we would sign him very soon (mad not to). Same with our new striker Emineke he is on loan, if it shows that the prem league is to quick and strong for him (which upon reading up on him I seriously doubt) then we have the option of not buying and returning him to his club. I hope they both work out and I would not mind us also buying Moses and Song on a permanent contract.
      COYI.

Hope this isnt a way for the board to get out of signing him. We know what he can do. Also he got the injury playing for west Ham, so whats the problem. Just sign him.We signed AC knowing his injusry history.

I’m in the just sign him camp – he’s very young and he’s a great player

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

There is no rush to just sign him, the club have a contract which says we have the option before a certain date, so wait until he is recovered and sign him, makes perfect sense as presumably his contract with us will differ from what he is on, from FFP perspective if you can save a few quid now it all goes into the bank later. There is minimal chance that he will not be signed, he is an absolute steal at the price, look forward to that later this month or whenever COYI !!!
