Lawrenson creates a surprise

|

Mark Lawrenson has told BBC Sport he thinks the Irons will beat Southampton 2-1  this afternoon.

And he added that he believes our  off-field issues will disappear given time.

Lawrenson believes Southampton may be relying on Charlie Austin for goals given they possess the lowest shot conversion rate in the division, and that’s food for thought for a West Ham defence that has struggled this season.

“Southampton have the lowest shot conversion rate in the Premier League, just 6.45%,” said Lawrenson.

“Shane Long is probably most to blame for that, but Charlie Austin is a finisher and, as he showed last weekend against Swansea, if he is picked and gets a chance, he will take it.”

Never mind Lawrenson, I can’t believe the team Slav is putting out, Adrian who has conceded 11 in 3, Noble who hasn’t had a decent game this season, Reid likewise and Nordveidt I guess as right back. Fernandes and Randolph play well and are on the bench, I won’t be surprised if we are 3 down at half time or earlier, hoping for the best but not expecting it 🙁
