Lawro nails the problem

|

It’s not rocket science of course but Mark Lawrenson has nailed the problem the Irons will run into at Liverpool this weekend.

It comes as no surprise to learn that he intends to be at the game – no doubt with a red and white scarf wrapped around his neck 🙂

And whilst we have shown already this season they are not unbeatable,  with this becoming the third game in a week facing a clearly tires squad it will be as difficult as it gets at Anfield.

And that is Lawrenson’s main point in a swift summing up of the game on his BBC website where he points to the small Hammers squad as perhaps the major issue.

Nothing less than 100 per cent is required against Klopp’s lot and with one or two key injuries involved plus tired legs for the Hammers it’s hard to see much other than a defeat

Lawrenson says: “I’m at this game and it will not be straightforward for Liverpool – they know how much of a handful West Ham are at their best after being beaten by them at London Stadium in November.

The problem for the Hammers, however, is that they have to keep asking the same players to get them results, every week. As we’ve seen, Liverpool have got the squad now to rest players and still get the outcome they want.

Lawro’s prediction: 2-0
