Craig Shakespeare is plotting a £25million bid for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, as Leicester prepare to spend big this summer claims the Telegraph.
The new Leicester manager is prepared to better an offer made by West Ham for the Nigeria international.
Iheanacho is free to leave the Etihad Stadium ahead of the forthcoming season, as Pep Guardiola is determined to bring in other striker options including Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez as a target.
Like West Ham Leicester are targeting players with top-flight experience, after a disappointing summer of recruitment last year, and believe Iheanacho represents good value for the price required.
Leicester are also claimed to be open to negotiating on a buyback clause that has stalled current talks between Manchester City and West Ham.
Leicester’s odds of signing Iheanacho have dropped to an odds-on favourite price of 1/3 while the Hammers price of landing him have lengthened to 7/4 with bookmakers William Hill.
One of the c&h lot?
One of the c&h lot saw Vardy in Chigwell this week..
You have to have a great sense of humour at the moment or you could quite easily lose your marbles reading all these rumours.I like to think that this one is closer to being finalised than we think, its just that the owners are keeping everything very hush hush after blurting everything out last Summer.Fingers crossed on this one and one more up front.Surely we cannot lose out to Leicester and if we do there are going to be some seriously ****ed off supporters going to have their say on our transfer policy.
You do get a tad too wound up H64.One it is just a rumour and two dont forget that Leicester were league champions and champions league 1/4 finalists last season. They are not a joke team anymore or we are head and shoulders above in any department lol
Leicester have an abundance of strikers Vardy, Slimani, Musa, Okazaki, Ulloa, they also have Mahrez to play as a number 10 when required although he wants to leave which would be great for us as they would lose a lot of their attacking threat, he is as important to them as Payet was for us.
So I guess the point is would Iheanacho want to move to them where he would have to fight for his place or us where he would be guaranteed to be first choice
It is one giant cavity in the gob of humanity. And think what they would have to spend on those stupid clacker things for their devoted fans if they increased the cavity to 50,000.
They can have him for that price anyway. I hear we have a secret weapon. AC is being fitted for a motorised wheelchair complete with retractable seat so that he can still reach the crosses. Premiership defences are trembling & BS is offering to return unpaid just so that he can witness that ‘wonderful sight’ once more before he finally packs it in.
Capacity even!
Don’t believe everything I read but worth noting the King Power has a cavity of 32000. So what is our limitation?!
Just can’t compete with these big clubs….
