Leroy: Someone will pay for Spurs defeat JOSE!

|

leroylogoDon’t be down… don’t be depressed – hard though that maybe because yesterday West Ham produced the best performance I have seen from them in the Premier League this season, and that of course includes the win at Palace.

Make no mistake Spurs are a very good side but we were brilliant for 99 per cent of the match and before anyone starts shouting… I am not excusing the lack of concentration at the end or Nortveidt’s sliding tackle. What was he doing? He had to stay on his feet for God’s sake.

Before that we had a near complete performance from the team and Slaven will not allow heads to go down because every one of them was quite excellent.

We were organised, inventive and carried a a threat every time we went forward and although he wasn’t properly fit, the hour from Sakho will do him the world of good. How good was it to have a proper centre forward back in the side?

Yes, he was was bit off the pace but he was making the sort of runs you want to see and on one occasion peeled off a defender brilliantly but Dimi Payet failed to find him with what should have been a chipped ball into a lot of space.

Sakho is back and I for one am delighted – he is going to make a huge difference over the next few weeks.

Slaven of course was without Mark Noble and that he wasn’t missed is a tribute to the team – sometimes it’s a good thing to freshen up the side and although this one was forced, it worked!

I don’t believe there will be any loss of confidence or a dent to morale. Slaven knows how well the team played and won’t allow that to happen and the boys will realise how good the were.

Manchester here we come – we didn’t deserve those last five minutes or so and someone will have to pay Jose!!!!

I admire your optimism Leroy but do you really think so. When will we play that well again? Teams that don’t win when dominating a game go down because they rarely do it regularly.

Hopefully Slav will get it right next week. Not sure we can play Ayew again,I feel playing both him and Payet is to much of a luxury away from home,Noble in at OT.
