Lingard makes decision – report

|

The Athletic‘s David Ornstein reports that Jesse Lingard has made his mind up and will stay at Manchester United in January.

The attacking midfielder has continually been heavily linked with a move to the Hammers after his loan spell at the club last season.

He has barely featured for the club this season, and has made all of his appearances as a substitute.

However, Ornstein now claims that the playmaker will be staying at United until at least the summer as he looks to find his way into Ralf Rangnick’s team at Old Trafford after his appointment as interim manager.

Lingard’s current contract expires in the summer, when he will be available on a free transfer.

He has not agreed to extend that deal and there are no further talks scheduled over his deal, leaving the ball firmly in Lingard’s court when it comes to his future.

It may well be time to move on.

We must look desperate. Had enough of Lingard. He will stay at manu anyway. Better and younger out there. Should have moved on ages ago.

Agree mojen. This non-event has gone on too long. He has never wanted to leave ManU and has no interest in West Ham. Time to stop dribbling and grovelling and forget Lingard, play Vlasic and buy a striker.
