Liverpool fans lose plot in defence of Salah

|

Liverpool fans have come out in droves on social media to defend Mo Salah from accusations of diving and cheating as other pundits back David Moyes view that his fall for the much discussed penalty was theatrical and should not have been awarded.

Journalist James Pearce – who is the Liverpool reporter for the Athletic – wrote “Moyes let himself down with his moaning about the penalty decision. Should have saved his complaints for Masuaku who senselessly booted the back of Salah’s leg.”
Liverpool fans Brendan Gallagher replied and saidDanny Murphy let himself down a bag full there on BBC Match of the Day basically called Salah a cheat despite clearly being kicked”
Many other Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to defend their striker often attacking and belittling any who dared suggest Salah dived or was a cheat while moaning that referees and VAR are against them and that there’s is therefore a mass conspiracy to stop them winning the Premier League title again.
Sadly some of these comments are probably from some of the same Liverpool fans who sent death threats and abuse to Jordan Pickford for his tackle on Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk. He had since hired bodyguards. in response.

Well Graham Souness called Sallah a cheat and said he dived and he is a Liverpool fan and former player so tells you everything. He said salah threw himself to the ground in an unnatural way and he’s seen him do it many times before.

I Don’t think anyone is saying Salah wasn’t touched, but to go down like a sack of potatoes wriggle around screaming like a big girl. Then jump up and take the penalty was just a bit too much.

Salvage taken to the Scouse culture, once a scally, always a scally. If it’s there to have, take it.

If A West Ham player ever dives or play acts to get a penalty,I will be very disappointed.I hate cheats.Sala is a filthy cheat, end of story. His dive looked like He was blasted in the chest with a shoe gun.

Apart from Salah taking a dive and winning a penalty, last week Antonio was clearly fouled by 2 Man City players in the box and we got nothing, so that’s 4 points lost in the 2 games. Playing for one of the so called elite teams must give their players great confidence that they can always get the decision to go their way. Wake up Refs, wake up VAR stop being conned by these clubs.

It was a blatent dive by Salah and should have been reviewed by VAR and rejected.
It was also evident during the game that Kevin Friend was shown laughing with Salah sharing some comments behind the hand, to the point that I just knew the over familiarisation with him that he would allow it!
There is too much fraternisation between the PL referees and some players nowadays that does make you question their total neutrality !
Sour grapes? Perhaps, but I hate cheats!

Blatant diving was one of the reasons I wasn’t sorry to see Cheatarito leave us. Plus he was a waste of money. No time for it. Salah should be ashamed. Glad that most of the TV pundits called him out on it. But not The Spitter, of course.
