|

Liverpool appear to have a serious injury problem over forward Diogo Jota with the player’ having been stretchered off during Liverpool’s win over Manchester City.

It seems impossible that he will recover any time soon and certainly not in time for the match against us at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

Indeed, in an update the Athletic claims there are now worries Jota could miss the World Cup, with his chances of featuring said to be ‘in doubt’. The report adds he will have a scan on his calf injury today.

The Portugal striker has made eight appearances for the Reds at Premier League and Champions League level but his only goal this terms came for his country against the Czech Republic in the Nations League.
