Lovren receives death threats from his own fans

|

LovrenLiverpool defender Dejan Lovren has deleted his Instagram account after reportedly receiving death threats from own fans following the 3-0 defeat to West Ham yesterday.

One Liverpool Blog after yesterday’s historic result wrote “Lovren’s calamitous defending in Saturday’s 3-0 home defeat to hot-and-cold West Ham United has put not only his first-team place in jeopardy, but could also derail his chance at salvaging a career in the red half of Merseyside”

The Croatian international has failed to make the impact at Liverpool following his £20m move from Southampton last summer.

It appears a small minority of Liverpool fans disappointed at Lovren’s calamitous performance against the Hammers yesterday took to their keyboards to abuse the Croatian defender on Instagram.

One Liverpool fan, Martin Richmond, wrote on his  twitter  account “Those who sent Lovren and his wife death threats are no true fans of LFC fans, no matter how bad a player performs, that’s just unacceptable”

Put in a cheeky bid to get a quality player in bad form.
I’m sure his old national manager would sort him out.

It just reminded me of Cresswell and Jenkinson’s c#ck-ups last week!

I was watching Sunday Supplement this morning and they were going on about why there’s been so few home wins this Season in the Premiership – they put it down to the home fans expecting the Defenders to ‘play football’, pass the ball out of Defence and generally be more positive in their play – the Home crowd expect their team to attack and get on the players backs if they sit back!

So basically, the two defeats at Home so far are down to us Punters!!

  • Stingray Stewart says:

Ha,yeah i saw that as well Michael 🙂

  • slaven a laugh says:

every team is going to target lovren now as the weak link in liverpools defence. Southampton played a blinder selling their overhyped overrated players to Liverpool for an overinflated price.

  • bubs says:

He is not the only one
The keeper showed last year he is BAD yesterday be never moved for any goal
The other 3 defenders were terrible Ginge could walk in to that team,
Milner is overrated that’s why I cringe every time his dad picks him for Engalnd,
They are worse than us when it comes to width,
I would not mind Benteke but that’s it,
