Man City transfer deal collapses

|

Transfer guru and respected ITK Fabrizio Romano has delivered more bad news for West Ham during the last hour. The Italian journalist has reported the transfer deal to bring Carlos Borges to East London has collapsed at the last minute.

The Hammers had been confident of concluding the deal for the Manchester City winger. However it appears that Ajax have offered more favourable terms to the player and agent involved in the transfer.

This will come as a bitter blow to West Ham who’s transfer operations are on the verge of collapse. Club officials have admitted that some players are reluctant to come to the London Stadium. In fact, the only player The Irons were confident of signing was Borges and now that has failed.

Romano Tweeted: EXCLUSIVE: Ajax are set to hijack West Ham deal to sign Manchester City top talent Carlos Borges, here we Ajax Verbal agreement in place, player will be in Amsterdam for medical tests soon as sources close to Ajax confirm. West Ham, close but Ajax hijacked the deal.

Whoever is negotiating transfer at West Ham is failing miserably. The club seem incapable of enticing promising players, international stars of even journeymen from the lower divisions. The Hammers are the only club in the Premier League who have failed to sign a player during the current transfer window. I think it’s fair to say that we have a transfer crisis on our hands.

It might be that we need to pay fair fees /wages and not low ball offers . Let’s get our act together , the manager/board /directors need to sort this now. Act like a premier league club show ambition sort out the policy . Honestly ridiculous , got that Rice money and seems we want to save pennies . Mr Sullivan care to step up & comment ?

  • West Ham Fan No 32 says:

Wow if that’s true and we can’t offer a deal to a player that hasn’t even played a first team game, despite having over &100m to play with them it’s time for someone to get sacked.

  • Mr Buddy Lurve says:

At what point does Moyes realise he’s toxic and step down? No point.

Which is basically as much point as Tim and Rob, sadly.

No amount of wages and fees can attract the kind of players we need because nobody wants to play turgid Moyes ball centred on a poor midfielder…

Absolute catastrophe. Starting to feel completely duped renewing my season ticket !

  • Pessimist says:

Don’t we all wish Mr Sullivan would step up and clarify the situation. I think it is not only out of date ideas on Wages, and fees. I think the Board intend NOT to spend the money. This time there is no excuse there was not anyone we could get who was good enough. We simply as a Club did not try to get anyone in.

The only thing the fans can do in my opinion and I have said it often in the past, is to hit the Board where they feel it most in their pocket. If they buy no one. Don’t turn up at games on mass, cancel Season Tickets at let them know the fans anger outside and not where they get money out of our presence.

well, they said 3 weeks ago we were chasing this man, hes very fast they said, west ham didnt realise how fast he was, we was chasing him for 3 weeks and still didnt catch him.
how fast can this man be, for gods sake.lol.
players leaving or left, youth teamers gone, coaches leaving or left, players wanting out at any cost, maybe somewhere in the board room, someone can see a common donominator in all this, come on brady get your fired saying directed at moyes, please.

  • PAUL GARNER says:

yes, hung on forever for 10 mill more for rice, only to throw it away on losing 15 mill on scammacca, we blamed arsenal for delaying our signings, now we got the money, nothings changed, still not bought anyone, its so depressing.

What on earth is going on? This deal was supposed to have been immanent 2 weeks ago. How comes we take so long getting deals over the line, only for other clubs to step in and steal them from under our noses. last year it was Onanna. We had scouted him for ages and it was only a matter of time before we signed him. yet it dragged on and Everton tied the deal up in a couple of days. If other clubs can tie deals up in a couple of days, why cant we? The only reason is complete incompetence. Take the Rice deal. We knew he was going to leave this summer over a year ago. Why on earth didn’t we line up his replacement and sign him as soon as the window opened? Complete and utter incompetence. How on earth did Sullivan earn his millions? Not like this. Maybe his just to old and past it?. .
