Marko leads West Ham striker poll

|

Marko Arnautovic was voted the top West Ham striker of the season by Claret and Hugh readers before his double strike yesterday.

With nearly 1,000 readers voting over 51% said Marko was still number one when it came to strikers, Javier Hernandez was second with 30% of the vote, Lucas Perez was placed third with 8% while Xande Silva was rated fourth on 7% and Andy Carroll fifth on 4%.

Andy Carroll waved his goodbyes yesterday on crutches wearing a protective boot in the lap of appreciation. He has just gone a second operation and his West Ham contract will expire in June.   Both Javier Hernandez and Lucas Perez could be off this summer if their valuations are met and we can land replacements.

Marko Arnautovic is set to stay with the manager and the player talking about his impact for next season.

Arnie has now scored ten goals to put him level with Felipe Anderson for West Ham’s top scorer of the season, both made four assists.
