Bookies continue to make Marko Arnautovic an odds on favourite to leave West Ham this summer despite the manager and the player heavily hinting that he is here to stay beyond the summer.
Bookmaker Sky Bet make the Austrian an 8/11 odds on favourite to join any Chinese club before the 3rd September while Roma is 16/1 Juvententis and PSG are 20/1 and Manchester United and Spurs are 33/1 chances.
Marko Arnautiovic has hinted he will remain a Hammer next season with a simple message on social media which read “We go next season.”
The four words follow Manuel Pellegrini telling reporters “I am absolutely convinced next season we will see a great Marko.”
West Ham rejected a £31.5m bid from China for the 30-year-old in the winter while giving him a one-year contract extension, raising his basic wage to £125,000 per week and giving him a and £45m release clause for the summer by a set date.
Club insiders are convinced Marko Arnautovic will stay a Hammer after the summer transfer window and a £45m bid from China or elsewhere is unlikely to materialise.
Marko is 30 years old.
