Noble for England

|

What another great season for the West Ham captain Mark Noble who has got some supporters telling Gareth Southgate it is not too late for an England call-up for the 32-year-old. The skipper scored two on the last game of the season with a superb solo effort followed by a trademark penalty.

Former Hammer Trevor Sinclair said on social media “Noble deserves an England cap …… so underrated outside of West Ham”

Another former Hammer in the form of Ian Wright Talking on BBC Match of the Day said “Great touch from Mark Noble, Mark Nobles’s skill from here is fantastic. He doesn’t get a lot of credit for this sort of stuff but that’s fantastic.”

West Ham fans sang at Vicarage Road after Mark Noble’s solo goal: “Too good for England, too good for England”

Having represented England 47 times at youth level, including captaining the U21 team, one would expect the natural progression to be for him to do the same at senior level. Disappointingly this has never been the case. Despite the fact he has played 467 games for West Ham in all competitions, he has still not received a call-up at senior level.

I think he should play for eire, credit to him for believing he is treading on toes, but at this late stage he will only enhance youngsters coming through and iam sure Cullen and Coventry would agree.

If it wasn’t so sad it would be hilarious . Every team in the division has a midfield player better than Noble . Yes local and full of enthusiasm but has zero pace and is a liability in defence . We get no defensive cover or running back and three good forward passes a season . Good flourish at end of the season so now is the time to hang up his boots and move upstairs .

To be fair he is not England material but is nowhere near as bad as you make him out to be. I just don’t get why you have such a downer on him. You continually bad mouth him no matter how well he plays and completely in the face of the stats that prove we win more with him than without. Ask yourself why successive managers, with massive knowledge and experience of the game pick him week after week. I think i’d rather trust their judgement than someone with a clear bias against an honest player. Or are you a secret spud?

Never understood all rubbish about his legs have gone etc when the stats show the exact opposite. I doubt we will see his like again, born in Canning Town, shows genuine pride to ware the Claret and blue.

Don’t and can’t for life of me understand why you hate Noble soo much , Bubbles .
He proven time & time again how valuable he is and stats back it up . Is it a personal thing ?
He should have had his England chance years ago . Too late now though , much to the deprement of England . We might have gotten somewhere since 66 with Noble in the side.
Never could understand why he was continuously overlooked . Maybe it’s just a bias against West Ham for winning the World Cup .
