Martinez scores on Hammers debut to reach semis

martinezAntonio Martinez  scored his first goal for the Hammers from the penalty spot, before Grady Diangana sealed a 2-0 win over FC Uitgeest!

Martinez said on twitter “My debut could not have been better! Happy to score my first goal and to help the team win!!

One West Ham fan who has seen the player in action said “Toni Martinez has been at West Ham for about a month and has only played one u21 but has an unreal mentality, better than some first teamers”

A West Ham United U21 squad including the likes of Martin Samuelsen and Lewis Page have travelled to Uitgeest, northern Holland to compete in the annual ICTG youth tournament.

The Hammers won all three games in Pool A  on Saturday against Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro, Dutch teams AZ Alkmaar and FC Uitgeest.  The Hammers now face Panathinaikos in the semi final at 11.10am this morning with a final scheduled for 2.45pm this afternoon.
