Midfielder rumours hot up as club sign replacement

|

ShelveyRumours that West Ham fan Jonjo Shelvey will join his boyhood team have hotted up since Rafa Benitez agreed a loan deal for the rest of the season with Chelsea for their Brazilian youngster Kenedy today.

It is believed that loan agreement will allow Benitez to sanction the sale of England international Shelvey before the transfer window closes and West Ham could pounce if he is valued as expected at £12m.

Earlier this month Shelvey was forced apologize for his actions after being subbed against Swansea City.He then refused to shake hands with Rafa Benitez after he was taken off.

David Moyes has said time and again that midfield is the area in his squad that needs strengthening this month.

The Romford born player has been rumoured to be house hunting in London and that has led to further speculation that he could be Hammers bound. Shelvey spent two years at the West Ham academy between 2002-2004 before joining Charlton age 12 breaking through to the first age 16 to become Charlton’s youngest player.  He nearly re-signed for the Hammers in 2015 from Swansea and his car was even in the Old Boleyn Ground’s car park on deadline day. The Swans doubled the asking price and a bid never materialised.

This makes as much sense as the text I got from a mate this afternoon informing me West Ham were about to sign Gerard Depardu for £20m!

My thoughts are if he was that good he’d already be at a top club. I’m sorry he’s not for me.

I think at the last count we are up to TEN injured, including all strikers apart from Chicharito. It is really beggars & choosers time. If we are not careful we won’t have 11 to put on the pitch, never mind not enough subs. Every season it is the same story. Either run out of strikers or central defenders or both. A complete joke. I know all sides get injuries but why do we always spend most of the season top of the injuries league? We are second to Watford (12) at the moment. Every year we are told something is being done to ‘look into it’ but that would probably cost money I guess.

Your mate might be on to something Jimbo. Depardieu is an actor right? We specialise in producing players who act as if they are footballers & get paid as if they are footballers but never actually run on to the frigging pitch! So sign him up…

And don’t forget we had his brother, who pretended to be Premiership manager- Alan Depardew……

Exocet for Rafa has said he doesn’t want to sell to a PL rival so most likely won’t happen & knew it we would focus on him & then Raf wouldn’t sell.
Tbh I think Ruiz might be the better option anyway if Moyes gets over PL exoeeince good tackler great dribbler & great passer especially good w long passes & finding that break. Needs to work on finishing but solid 21yo CM.

Dendoncker I like but since been playing CB & w all injuries less likely to happen.

    But we need cover.

And it peob won’t come from PL especially bottom 12 teams
