Mixed messages on Moyes future

Mixed messages continue to come out of the Hammers concerning David Moyes’ future at the club.

There would usually seem little doubt that the next four games would be critical to a manager’s future who has won just one of the first seven of a new season and just two since March in the 2021/22 season.

The Irons beat just Everton and Norwich as the team collected eight points over the eight Premier League games in which they were involved bringing the total number of wins to three in 15 games.

Were that the position during an entire season you could surely expect the manager to be shown the door.

However, despite CandH were told by key insiders that although there is no intention of doing the manager was warned he needed to make his summer signings work if he is to continue receiving such confidence.

Now, however Talksport presenter Jim White has said: “I was told this morning, just before we came on air, we support our manager. We are not ones for chopping and changing.

David Moyes has plenty of credit in the bank. So much so, there’s a board meeting over Zoom this afternoon and Moyes’ name isn’t even on the agenda.”
