West Ham head coach Julen Lopetegui has not ruled out the possibility of more signings for the club in what has been a busy transfer window.

Poor Tim Steidten must be completely exhausted, but that hasn’t stopped the Hammers’ new gaffer from hinting that more signings could be on the way.

Speaking in his press conference ahead of this weekend’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace, Lopetegui said: “In this time before the market closes, it’s still uncertain who might come into the club and who might leave. We have to adapt, but the competition is tough. We’ve tried to adapt with the new players, and we have to balance everything to remain competitive.

We don’t want to talk about players who aren’t here, although it’s true that anything can happen.”

The Hammers remain in negotiations for Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler and are also monitoring central defensive options as well as a striker. However, as the club keeps reminding everyone, they’ll need to sell first.

They’ve had Soler on hold for a week because they can’t get rid of Zouma, Ings, Aguerd, Cornet etc. yet he says more could arrive. So, either the suggestion that the club cannot move these players out is not true (they have been trying for 2 months now) or his comment is not true?
