Moyes dismisses Allardyce claims

|

David Moyes says Robert Snodgrass omission from tonight’s game was nothing to do with him and he doesn’t consider it any of his business..

Probed further about potential Premier League investigation into the Snodgrass transfer the Hammers manager said he had no problem saying they have to do what they have to do.

He went on to say Robert Snodgrass was a really good player at West Ham and somebody who is a great character and whom the the club really enjoyed,

Moyes said “We sent him to West Brom with our best wishes, we didn’t receive any fee for him because we have so much respect for Robert and the work he did here’

West Brom manager Sam Allardyce revealed beforehand live on BT Sport that Snodgrass was unavailable for the game due to “an agreement between the clubs” as part of the deal to sign the former Hammer on January 8th he claimed to TV viewers.

Such an agreement if it existed whether written or informal might constitute a breach of Premier League regulation I 7, which states that “No Club shall enter into a contract which enables any other party to that contract to acquire the ability materially to influence its policies or the performance of its teams in League Matches, any matches in the Professional Development Phase Games Programme or the Professional Development Leagues (as those terms are defined in the Youth Development Rules) or in any of the competitions set out in Rule L.9.”

Robert Snodgrass travelled to the London Stadium and was seen watching from the stands wearing a mask.

We can’t even give a player away without making fools of ourselves.

What the hell us going on here! As an Albion fan,I’m baffled by the initial news regarding Robert Snodgrass,s transfer from West Ham to West Bromwich Albion, surely both clubs knew that they were breaking Premier League rules? And now we see West Ham manager David Moyes, saying Its nothing to dowith me! Sam Allardyce would not announce live on TV,that Snodgrass was not allowed to play B
because of this gentlemen’s agreement,if it was not true! So come on! Let’s get this sorted, and the best answer would be to replay the game!

    • It’susually the best answer when you lose 🙂 There was no gents agreement no written arrangement. Personally I think Allardyce wss winding up the presenter
