Declan has been barely missed
West Ham’s new signings have been widely praised everywhere this summer.
Indeed it may be the best window we have enjoyed for many a long year which of course it needed to be after the sale of Declan Rice.
Nobody can deny that the £100 million plus we received for the former No 41 hasn’t been well spent and David Moyes has thanked the club for their support in allowing him to rebuild so successfully.
Hammers are in a new dimension
The likes of James Ward-Prowse and Edson Alvarez has brought a new dimension to the club and we no longer look like a team desperate for one player to hold his form.
That he hasn’t been missed and we have started the season in tremendous fashion tells its own story and the decision to bring in a technical director has been a brilliant move which has lifted recruitment to a different level.
The club has supported me says Moyes
Moyes couldn’t be happier telling the pre-City presser: “I am pleased with the squad we’ve assembled and with the players I’ve got.
The Club have supported and backed us in every way to get lots of good players. We’ve sold a really good player, but hopefully we’re trying to build a team and have another new team getting ready to go again.”
Happy to eat the old humble pie on the signings which are a thrill, and the performances so far. Still concerned about the striker position and his panic buying which has resulted in losing Scamacca and Ings ineffective. Also worried about his stubbornness and reluctance to play all his talent, I want to see Alvarez, Ward-Price, Paqueta and Kudus with Bowen and Antonio. A bit more application on the subbing too please, not the 70 minutes swap job. Onwards and upwards please and well done thank you.
