Moyes magic so far…but big mistake is looming

|

By Hughie Southon

Football managers – like everybody else in life – reach their sell buy date and many including ourselves had thought ours had reached his!

Wrong again as we all have been following this great game of ours in most cases since childhood which in my case saw me born into a Spurs family.

David Moyes is going nowhere

Thank God I had the common sense to decide that Upton Park was my spiritual home when after moving to London I was offered my first job by a guy named TONY COTTEE …obviously not THE TC, Football is full of these ironies.

But back to the point, how ironic that a man whose job was hanging by the proverbial thread in the summer is now everybody’s hero. Yes some of us really are as fickle as that.

Everything went right in the window and on the pitch apart from having to meet Man City early.

We have even been given a comfortable group in the Europa Cup and yesterday Mike Antonio re-signed.

Well done Moyesie but there is still time to make a dreadful mistake…so don’t fall for it. Jesse Lingard is not for us!
