Moyes opens up on the January window

|

david-moyesDavid Moyealed that he won’t be rushed in the  January window and risk  making inferior signings.

Speaking to the official site he said: “I would be diligent. I don’t do things very quickly. I like to see players live myself.

It was always my rule that I’d only do it if I’ve seen the players live, because I’d treat the club’s money like my own money and wouldn’t give it away too easily.

“It’s not quite the same world now because of the speed of transfers being done, but my style was always to have a strong scouting and backroom staff, scouts working, lots of reports, seeing as many players as we can, and trying to find the best young and upcoming talent.”

At the moment I would like to add a couple of players who will help us keep the ball better and pass better. If we got that, it would help me feed the centre forwards we’ve got, and we’ve got quite a lot of centre forwards at the club.

“We want to be able to give them the right type of service, whether that be playing over the top, coming from wide areas or played into feet. I want people who can recognise what they need.

“We could need people in the centre of midfield or off the side who might do it from another area, or people in different positions, but I want to add a couple of people who could give us a little bit more on the ball.”

Its simple really there are decent players out there if you pay up but they just don’t want to spend big ..they put embarrassing offers in for players and if you notice we only ever py 15\20 mil for players never over that amount which I’m sorry but in this day and age will only get you average players …they are so full of **** its unbelievable.. This will be the 3\4 window that will be a disaster …what did Karen Brady say ..”a world class stadium filled with world class players ” and us mugs bought In. To it ..😂😂😂😂

Spurs spend less on players and pay lower wages than we do, bet you can’t explain that away.

      • Hammerkip says:

Do you just object to fans voicing there opinions ??? If you like the spudz so much then why not support them ..or do u already. ..

        • crewehammer says:

Yours isn’t an opinion, it’s an uneducated moan that you cant back up and just as I suspected you can’t explain how spuds pay less for players than we do and have a wage bill that is much less too.

I’ve mentioned my desire for the 3 shysters to feck off several times on this site, so agree totally fellas👍👍👍
Part of me wishes they’d go and bleed another club dry, but I wouldn’t wish them on my worst enemy (and yes, that includes the spuds).
    Parasites😡😡😡

I like to treat the owners money like my own ? Says the jock 😂😂
Sorry Moyes we don’t have time to gamble ! The shysters need to dig deep and make a statement ! You’ve obviously noticed the phrase don’t go to bed has gone down the bunker !
I had to laugh at his earlier statement about going to the top six and giving them a good game ? Not armed with the money they have on offer ? There’s saying the right things and being optimistic but without the backing we still get stuffed lol the goals against may go down ish , but still the same outcome , lose most and nick a few now and then !
He means well I’m sure but these blaggers will not pay the going rate for class !
Prove me and others wrong in what we think ! I’m going to bed 😎

Word in Belgium is that they want 30 million Euros for Dendoncker. Also that West ham have made a 19 million bid. But also that Chicharito might be offered as part of the transaction. And Anderlecht does need a striker…

    • JRS says:

Give them Kouyate back too to cover whole but Chic wont want to go to Anderlecht nor could they afford his wages.
Kouyate & £15-20m works for me.
Dendockner his experienced hasn’t had is beat season after Telemiens left but has over 100 apps at 22 & full blown Belgium Intl a DM who can pass what we need. And have green light to go for it tho seems like Carvalho all over again.
I’d love to have Dendockner here & then add some creativity like Frankie De Jong be a dream or Anjaki another CB after at Basel who wants BVB move have CBs a young ones in Rice Ox burke ho after his teammate who is creative AM CM RM 16 assist 6 goals in 24 appa some of those in Champions league.
Board need to give up more money we sold a lot in summer & should at least have that £20m we didn’t spend on Carvalho on top making a £35m kitty which done right can get 2-4 players.
Other young talented players at there tol around £5m Hamza Barry – Hadjuk Split Ryan Thomas -Zwolle CMs who can create & can fwd add one of those w Dendockner be great.

Hopefully we will get some deal done Huddersfield already have 2 done Pritchard from Norwich one I would love his teammate James Madisson 21 English Score free kick goals & talented 7 goals 7 assists but will be expensive now.
Like Moyes attitude about it & think if gets of PL we could have a good window eap if Board give up more money we have a 21 man squad bc they over sold for big names & didn’t work
