Moyes playing it safe for Blackburn clash

|

Coventry- impressive

David Moyes has again selected a semi defensive team for the game against Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers for the Caraba Cup clash at the London Stadium.

Pablo Fornals and Mikey Antonio appear to be the only attacking players in front of Flynn Downes, Conor Coventry and Manu Lanzini.

At the back Emerson comes in for Aaron Cresswell with Vladimr Coufal, Ben Johnson, Nayef Aguerd and Oggy alongside.

It is another big chance for Coventry however as he attempts to show he has the creative abilities to be become a serious first team contender.

But with the manager again playing just one up there will be worries among the hammers faithful that it will be hard for us to find the net against the second placed Championship outfit who are currently on 36 points from 20 games.

Hammers: Alphonse Areola, Vladimir Coufal, Ben Johnson, Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna, Emerson, Flynn Downes, Conor Coventry, Pablo Fornals, Manuel Lanzini, Michail Antonio
