Moyes remains entirely confident

David Moyes insists he remains entirely confident of challenging throughout the FA Cup, instead of it becoming a hinderance for the remainder of the season.

The Irons are continuing to fight on three separate fronts, as they are looking to qualify for Europe in the Premier League, and are in the knockout stages of the Europa League, while they are also preparing for the fourth round clash with Kidderminster in the cup.

That game comes against a non-league side and Moyes believes that the Irons can go far in the competition.

Indeed, the Hammers did well in the Carabao Cup, beating Manchester City and Manchester United and reaching the quarter-finals, where they were beaten by Spurs.

Moyes told reporters: “I see it as a real positive, a real chance and we have challenged in the Carabao Cup. We are still in Europe, so I see that as a positive.

“We are looking forward to what is coming up in March and I think we also want a good run in the cup. We have a team that on their day can match any team in the Premier League. might be difficult to match them over 38 games but we can certainly match them in one-off situations.

“If we can be good enough and perform well, get through this round, I wouldn’t see any reason why we can’t have a half decent run in this cup as well.”
