David Moyes believes that West Ham blew a huge opportunity against Burnley on Sunday.
The Hammers had a huge chance to climb right back into the mix for the top-four after seeing both Spurs and Arsenal lose on Saturday. 
But on Easter Sunday, the Irons were lethargic from the first minute, and were held to a 1-1 draw by the Clarets.
It could have been a lot worse, too, as Wout Weghorst’s goal was followed by a poor penalty miss from Maxwel Cornet.
In the end, Tomas Soucek’s goal spared the Hammers’ blushes and ensured there was no defeat but it leaves the Irons seventh in the Premier League table, having played at least a game more than all of their top-six rivals.
Moyes was disappointed with the performance, and felt that the suspected broken ankle sustained by Ashley Westwood played a role in spoiling the rhythm of the game.
Quoted by BBC Sport, he said: “It is a game where we missed an opportunity. We had an opportunity to challenge the teams above us but we have missed it.
“It was a terrible injury to Ashley Westwood, which derailed the speed of the game for a while. We lost concentration during that period, but that was our fault and nobody else’s.
“We were playing quite well and knocking on the door at that time but went on to concede the goal. We had a great chance to win the game with the amount of chances and we probably should have.
“We have been doing OK up till now. We will keep ploughing on and keep picking up results. He [Nick Pope] had a couple of really good saves but hopefully we will score them in the next games.”
Moyes should look no further than his bathroom mirror . The lost opportunity was,not playing Haller in the correct position ,and instead putting all his faith in a player who is not and never will be a goal scorer . Even then he could have redeemed himself by getting a replacement and getting a stronger squad in depth . If he was putting trust in the youngsters why haven’t we seen any … Now he is blaming Antonio !!! Really Moyes …You are to blame .No one else .
