West Ham boss David Moyes will no doubt use one of two fringe players when the Hammers go out to meet previous Euro League opponents on Thursday evening. They beat them of course home and away in the group stages to top the group and will be looking for a repeat.
Moyes selection decisions for Freiburg
Having allowed Said Benrahma and Pablo Fornals to depart in the transfer window, the manager has fewer options up front and in midfield than previously but changes at the back look certain.
Ben Johnson looks likely to come in at right back for Vladi Coufal and a return for Nayef Aguerd looks on the cards alongside with either Mavro or Oggy and possibly Aaron Cresswell in at left back.
Given the importance of the game it looks as though a midfield of Paqueta, Soucek, Alvarez, James Ward Prowse and Mo Kudus with Jarrod Bowen up front.
Freiburg gained something of a shock result at the weekend holding Bundesliga to 1 2-2 draw having been beaten 201 away in their previous game against Augsburg 2-1.
On current form it would appear the Hammers must be favourites for the game especially as they have seen the German outfit outfit off twice already.
Watching Benrahma play his last three games it was apparent he wanted out and I believe it’s the same with Cresswell.
Anyway I would like to see Kudus as centre forward. I believe with his strength and pace he would be a handful as Haaland is for city
